Geometries is a series of silkscreened monoprints derived from a variety of organic and inorganic materials, diagrams, illustrations, textures, and photographs. It explores dimensionality, transparency, layering, and the (re)combinational potential of simple shapes and patterns.
Inspired by random mutation and cyclical rhythms in the natural world, my printing process was spontaneous and intuitive, favoring a rapid, responsive, and embodied flow state over one of slow and intentional reasoning and execution. They are conceived to be rotated and viewed from multiple angles, inviting perspective shifts and novel (re)arrangements.
