Newsfeed is a series of 20 silkscreened publications, between art book and zine. The text is from a forthcoming poetry collection of mine that explores the differences in psychoemotional and spiritual states and conditions evoked through digital and analogue means of communication, expression, creation, and consumption.
The format of this publication is read vertically, as if scrolling through the pages, and when unfolded fully reveals the telltale shape of a social media newsfeed. The framed images on each page and caption-like text contribute to this motif, and the positioning of the text flows like a meandering river, echoing the textual content and its more literal representation on the cover.
This piece was exhibited for sale in Le Magasin, the storefront of Montreal's ARPRIM print exhibition space in June 2023.
